Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Smile in Photo With Chevy Chase

Chevy Chase was all smiles as he posed with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds at Chris Rock’s 60th birthday celebration.

“Jay and I went [to] The Crane Club downtown to join the celebrations for @chrisrock ‘s 60th Birthday, hosted by @guyoseary,” Chase, 81, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, February 16, referring to wife Jayni Chase, whom he married in 1982.

Aside from taking a snap with Lively, 37, and Reynolds, 48, Chevy shared a series of photos with A-listers including Adam Sandler, Steven Spielberg, Paul Rudd and more.

“So much talent! Such funny and nice guys! Made me miss my dear friend, Richard Pryor. He should’ve been there,” Chevy concluded. (Pryor died at age 65 in December 2005.)

Lively and Reynolds’ public outing for Rock’s festivities came one day before they walked the red carpet in a surprise appearance at SNL 50: The Anniversary Special. Lively stunned in a metallic Tamra Ralph gown with embroidered 3D flowers, styling her hair in loose waves off one shoulder and accessorizing with diamond drop earrings. Reynolds, for his part, donned a classic Thom Sweeney tux.

While inside the event, Reynolds poked fun at the couple’s ongoing legal battle against Lively’s It Ends with Us costar and director Justin Baldoni. During a Q&A segment with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, Reynolds was asked how he was doing. “[I’m doing] great. Why, what have you heard?” Reynolds quipped in response.

News broke in December 2024 that Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni accusing him of sexual harassment, which he denied. Baldoni, 41, has since fired back with a $400 million defamation lawsuit against both Lively and Reynolds and claimed she was “determined to make Baldoni the real-life villain in her story.” Lively’s legal team denounced all accusations. A trial is currently scheduled for 2026.

One day after the SNL 50 celebration, Lively’s It Ends With Us costar Brandon Sklenar laughed off whether he was a member of “Team Blake or Team Justin” during an interview on CBS Mornings, instead replying, “I’m Team It Ends With Us.”

“I just want people to remember why we made the movie in the first place and what it stands for, just keeping the focus on that,” Sklenar, 34, said on Monday, February 17. “That movie meant so much to me. I have someone very, very close to me in my life who’s gone through what Lily’s going through for a long time and I’ve been on the front lines helping her navigate that space, so that movie meant a lot to me and it means a lot to her, this person in my life.”

He continued, “Me doing that film gave her the strength to change her life. Yeah, it means a lot to me. It’s unfortunate that things get taken away from what the ethos of that thing is, it gets convoluted.”
