Billy Ray Cyrus Shares Text From Noah Cyrus: ‘We Made History’

On Friday, March 21, singer Billy Ray Cyrus took to Instagram to share text messages shared between him and his youngest daughter, Noah Cyrus.

The texts celebrated each other as they both released new music.

Noah sent her dad a photo of a billboard in New York City celebrating her new single, “Don’t Put It All on Me,” featuring Fleet Foxes.

She then praised Billy Ray, 63, for his own single with Ben Burgess and Brandon Manley, titled “Ask.”

Noah Cyrus has thrown her support behind her dad Billy Ray Cyrus following the family’s latest headline-making drama. Posting via her Instagram Story, Noah, 25, shared a Reel of her father’s latest music release on Friday, February 7. “So proud of my Dad’s INCREDIBLE new single LOST with my good, old friend @samtinnesz and @tommeeprofitt […]

“Doddy!! I love your single!” Noah told him.

Most of Billy Ray’s response to Noah was cut off, revealing only a “Whhhhooooo!!!! Thank.”

In the caption of his post, Billy Ray said he and “Noie” made history by releasing new music on the same day.

“Congratulations Noie,” he began. “I love your sign in NYC! It is crazy our records were released on the same day.”

“They … tell me we made history again in music today as a father and daughter release on the same day kinda thing,” Billy Ray continued. “I like doing things that hasn’t been done before. That’s the challenge ya see?”

Carl Perkins taught me that,” he said of the legendary rock ‘n’ roll pioneer. “He bended a few genres himself. How bout them blue suede shoes!”

But Noah and Billy Ray aren’t the only Cyruses involved in the new music.

As Us Weekly reported, Billy Ray’s son Braison Cyrus, Noah’s 30-year-old brother, wrote “Don’t Put It All on Me.” Braison is also producing his dad’s new album as Billy Ray announced in January.

“This is art imitating life, imitating art,” Billy Ray said in a statement shared with People. “It starts and ends with art. Braison is very talented and [2025] is his year. I’m glad to be a part of it. This record is gonna be special. I’m gearing up for what will be the journey of a lifetime.”

Described as a blend between Noah’s “country and pop roots,” the 25-year-old said she’s “always been the observer in our family, and Braison wrote about how I tend to carry the weight of that on my shoulders.”

She added the hopes those who listen to her new music will feel “a sense of comforting, peaceful nostalgia.”

“That’s something that I feel so heavily when I listen to music. We all want to connect with our past while also being aware of the present moment. Music does that for me, and this new collection of songs was made with that in mind,” Noah said in a statement. “I want to evoke that feeling of a comforting friend that a song can be — and allow us all to heal.”

The song comes after several reports suggesting the Cyrus family, which also includes Billy Ray’s ex-wife Tish Cyrus, daughters Brandi Cyrus and Miley Cyrus, and son Trace Cyrus, has been feuding.
