Below Deck’s Tzarina Jokes She’s a Better Match for Captain Jason Than Summer House’s Paige DeSorbo (Exclusive)

Below Deck Down Under’s Captain Jason told Us he would slide into Summer House star Paige DeSorbo‘s direct messages — but his costar Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph has other ideas.
“I feel like maybe [he should be] with a 5’3 brunette Jewish chef from Below Deck Down Under. She might be a really good fit for him,” Tzarina, 30, jokingly told Us Weekly during an exclusive interview. “I just feel like that might be better for him, to tell you the truth.”
Tzarina couldn’t name a specific Bravo star she would pair with Jason, 52, adding, “I can’t decide who he fits with because I just really want him to be able to find love and be happy. I really feel like he deserves it.”
The chef’s one request? “I don’t care who it is as long as they get along with me,” Tzarina noted. “And don’t mind me hanging out [with them] sometimes.”
Tzarina’s suggestion comes after Jason chose between Paige, 32, or fellow Bravo stars Ciara Miller and Katie Maloney as possible matches during an interview with Us.
“No, [I haven’t slid in Paige’s DMs] because it’s a little bit raw now,” he shared earlier this month about her split from Craig Conover before questioning whether Paige already “moved on” with someone else. “I might have missed that boat.”
Jason noted to Us that he’s ready to find someone, sharing, “Someone that is adventurous, who gets their hands dirty, likes to travel, loves nature and waterfalls.”
As for Tzarina, her main concern has been walking away from season 3 of Below Deck Down Under unscathed. The season got off to a rocky start earlier this month when Tzarina’s sous chef Anthony Bird argued with her before finding another job.
“I don’t think Anthony knew exactly what his job role was, which I don’t think is 100 percent his fault. Anthony comes from very big boats and on boats that size, you have five chefs there and you have someone washing up, you have someone doing crew food and as the sous chef you make guest food,” she explained. “On a 60-meter yacht — if you Google what the job role is — the first thing that comes up is exactly what I expected from him and asked him to do.”
Tzarina confirmed she hasn’t heard from Anthony, 26.
“And [there was] definitely space for growth for the future when he joins a boat. But there hasn’t been an apology,” she said. “Watching [the episode] back is going to be so difficult for him that I think it’s just better that he doesn’t think about me and he looks after himself and goes through the next steps. It is difficult watching yourself back. So I can’t even imagine what he’s going through.”
While discussing the start of the season, Tzarina thanked Jason for supporting her. “[I felt like a] damsel in distress [when Jason stepped in]. My prince came and saved me,” she quipped to Us. “I felt so lucky to have Jason’s support. But he is also a very sneaky captain. He does hide behind doors and listens. So over those days, I think he definitely heard a lot more than what viewers saw.”
Below Deck Down Under season 3 airs on Bravo Mondays at 8 p.m. ET. New episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
