Bachelor’s Onyeka Ehie Claims She Nearly Married a ‘Con Artist’

The Bachelor alum Onyeka Ehie is sharing shocking allegations about her whirlwind relationship with her now-ex-fiancé, Martin Fredsgaard Andersen.

“I made the grave mistake of [almost] marrying a professional, international criminal con artist,” Onyeka, 31, claimed in a Friday, November 21, TikTok video. “Lesson No. 1: Don’t be too trusting. Trust should be earned and not given out like free samples. It’s OK to give someone the benefit of the doubt, but what you cannot do is give someone blind access to your resources, your life or your heart without them showing signs of consistency.”

Onyeka appeared on Colton Underwood’s season 23 of The Bachelor before a brief appearance on Bachelor in Paradise season 6. After leaving both shows single, she met Martin in 2022. They announced their engagement in April 2024 after nearly two years together. Onyeka ultimately confirmed their breakup this fall.

“I have canceled the weddings and Martin and I are no longer together,” she captioned a September TikTok post. “I really cannot put into words what I’ve been going through, but I’m healing a little more every day.”

Not all Bachelor Nation breakups are as pretty as a rose. Colton Underwood and his Bachelor season 23 winner Cassie Randolph, for example, vowed to stay friends when they went public with their split in May 2020. Things quickly turned sour after Colton shaded Cassie’s decision to do an interview with Chris Harrison during the […]

Nearly two months later, Onyeka was ready to share her side of the story in a now-viral TikTok series called “The Danish Deception,” a nod to Martin’s native country.

“We’re minding our business, sipping mojitos, when I look up and see this very attractive man,” she said in the first video of meeting Martin during a 2022 vacation to Croatia. “The first thing I thought was, ‘This man looks like he’s walking straight out of a Calvin Klein ad.’ [He’s] 6’3”, blond hair, blue eyes, chiseled skin, so tan, muscles everywhere. I was definitely taken aback.”

After Martin approached her, he asked to buy her a drink and they started getting to know another.

“As we’re leaving, I decide to make a bold move and ask him for his Instagram,” she said. “We exchange Instagrams … and I get a DM from him saying, ‘It was so nice meeting you.’”

Onyeka saw Martin again that night for drinks — the first of many meetups on the trip. Days later, he allegedly messaged her an invite to join him in Ibiza for the weekend.

From breakups to makeups and everything in between, Bachelor Nation has seen it all — and it hasn’t always been pretty. Loyal fans of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette often put in the work to uncover secrets from contestants’ pasts as they search for love on the ABC reality franchise. During Matt James‘ historic season, […]

“I told him no, that I needed to work, and I thought he was never going to talk to me again,” she said. “Somehow, this lit a fire under him and he became more persistent. He started pursuing me even more, sending me messages, like, ‘When are you going to come visit me?’ ‘I would love to come visit you in Dallas.’”

After weeks of “consistent” Instagram messages, Martin reportedly invited her for a comped vacation in Monaco that she accepted. They started seeing each other regularly for months and months, even spending Christmas together.

In her 13th video, Onyeka alleged that Martin’s best friend told her at Christmas that he had a gambling addiction.

“When I heard this, I was in full panic mode. I’m questioning everything,” she recalled. “I asked him, ‘Did you have a gambling addiction?’ He was like, ‘I did, but it was like 10 years ago. … I was young, I was dumb, I was stupid. I would never ever go back to to that.’”

Onyeka, for her part, had been flabbergasted because she claimed that she had lent Martin money on numerous occasions.

“I had a year of tremendous downs, and I promise in a million years, I would gamble away your money,” she recalled what Martin told her. “I was like, ‘I need to see proof.’ … I decided to believe him, especially because he showed me proof and everything checked out.”

Onyeka further claimed in subsequent videos that she paid for most expenses on their joint trips — and also believes that he owes money to her relatives.

“I’m just silent for five seconds,” she said in her 22nd video, breaking down in tears after claiming that her sister believes she is owed money. “It was the most heartbreaking moment in my entire life. My little sister is my world, and to know he took advantage of her, was just so heartbreaking. At that moment, I, 100 percent, fell out of love with him.”

Martin, who does not have any social media accounts, has not publicly addressed any of Onyeka’s accusations. Us Weekly is unable to confirm these allegations and has tried multiple times to reach him but could not locate reliable contact information at the time of publication.
