Bachelor Grant and Juliana Are Moving to Boston After Proposal

Bachelor Grant Ellis was joined by new fiancée Juliana Pasquarosa during the live portion of the Monday, March 24, finale of The Bachelor.

Despite a tense proposal day — which saw Grant, 31, very torn between Juliana, 28, and Litia Garr — the couple confirmed they still going strong.

“You’ve got to have fun with it because life is just too serious to take seriously,” Juliana said of the backlash and social media speculation about the ending. They later revealed that they are moving to Boston — and accepted a trip to Italy from ABC.

Both Grant and Juliana’s parents were in the audience to support the couple. “It’s been a blast,” Juliana’s dad told host Jesse Palmer. “We’re excited to get the two families together, finally.”

Earlier on Monday, Bachelor Nation saw Grant propose to Juliana.

“I truly believe that you are somebody who is my best friend and I’m so grateful for our journey,” he told her, before getting down on one knee. “When you’re going through the toughest times in your life, I want you to know you don’t have to go through it alone. I’ll be there for you as your man, as your friend and as your partner.”

While Juliana Pasquarosa has kept her cool on season 29 of The Bachelor, she said that wasn’t necessarily the case behind the scenes. “A lot of conversations do tend to happen off camera, and I don’t know if that’s intentional for these reasons or not,” Juliana, 28, said on the Thursday, February 27, episode of […]

Before the engagement, Grant told both Juliana and Litia, 31, that he loved them — and the two contestants dropped the L-bomb back. On proposal day, Litia was shocked when Grant ended things, accusing him of misleading her. Grant and Litia reunited at the live portion of the Monday episode, where she claimed he said he could “stop the show” early because he knew she was his No. 1.

Grant apologized as Litia declared, “Every woman deserves to have a man who’s going to choose her without a shadow of a doubt.”

Prior to the finale night drama, Grant had gushed to Us Weekly about his connection with Juliana, a client service associate from Newton, Massachusetts.

“From night one, we really connected over our love of playing the piano. We always had that physical chemistry, and then we started to really develop an emotional connection,” he told Us. “Every relationship was different, but that was a relationship that really developed over time.”

While Juliana didn’t have a one-on-one date until the second half of the season, he still tried to make her feel special.

Despite how it may seem, Grant Ellis was confident during his stint as The Bachelor. So confident, in fact, that when Us Weekly asked our latest cover star if he could give a percentage regarding how certain he was that he had found his wife ahead going into the hometown dates, he said: “I, honestly, […]

“Group dates are always difficult. It’s really awkward. It’s not every day [in real life that] you’re going on a group date,” he said. “But you make eye contact, check in and make sure you let the person know that you gave them reassurance that you’re thinking about them — and hopefully your words don’t get misinterpreted.”

The Bachelor franchise is set to return with Bachelor in Paradise this summer.
