Arie Luyendyk Jr. Makes Another Vasectomy Appointment After Baby No. 4

Former Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. is taking precautions after wife Lauren Luyendyk gave birth to the couple’s fourth baby.

“Making THAT call for the third time … Need a punch card,” Arie, 44, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, December 7, alongside a video of him calling the doctor’s office to schedule an appointment.

“Hello, it’s me,” he told a receptionist over the phone. “So now, I’d like to get another vasectomy. Snip snap, snip snap.”

Arie laughed as he noted there was a “long awkward pause” on the other line. At the end of the video, Arie said, “Sounds good,” and flashed a thumbs up for the camera. He paired the video with Adele’s “Hello.”

“She’s probably heard it a thousand times lol,” he captioned the post.

Arie’s post comes less than three months after he and Lauren, 34, welcomed their fourth baby, daughter Livvy. The pair announced the birth via Instagram in September, writing, “Welcome to the world livvy rowe luyendyk.🪽9/18/25. Love you our sweet little angel girl!”

Arie and Lauren initially crossed paths during The Bachelor season 22, where he ultimately got engaged to Becca Kufrin. Arie, however, went on to break off their engagement in pursuit of Lauren, whom he proposed to in 2018. The couple tied the knot in Hawaii in January 2019. Arie and Lauren welcomed daughter Alessi and twins Lux and Senna in May 2019 and June 2021, respectively.

In February, Arie shared that he underwent a vasectomy reversal in the hopes that he and Lauren could expand their family.

Arie Luyendyk Jr. changed his mind about getting a vasectomy, recently undergoing a reversal procedure. “We said we were done having kids, like, a couple years ago, but I think we’re gonna do it one more time,” Arie’s wife, Lauren Luyendyk (née Burnham), said in a Thursday, February 20, YouTube video. “That sounded funny, like, […]

“We said we were done having kids, like, a couple years ago, but I think we’re gonna do it one more time,” Lauren said in a YouTube video at the time. “That sounded funny, like, we’re only going to do it one time.”

Arie explained that he “rushed” having a vasectomy in 2022 after the pair’s twins were born, explaining that having Senna and Lux was “hard at first.” Lauren, meanwhile, noted that he scheduled the vasectomy “without consulting” her.

“He was like, ‘OK, it’s happening. We gotta do this,’” she recalled. “And we did. I got on board.”

After undergoing the reversal, Arie shared that he was “totally” ready to add to their family. “If we had a singleton, we could totally handle that,” he added.

Lauren, meanwhile, was slightly on the fence about trying for baby No. 4.

“He totally convinced me that, like, chapter’s closed and I came to terms with that,” she said. “Now, I have to just get out of that again. So I’m getting there [while] Arie is totally there. … But yeah, we’re going to do it again.”

When Arie and Lauren shared that they were expecting their fourth baby, the pair also confirmed in a YouTube video uploaded the same day that the former Bachelor’s vasectomy reversal took place in summer 2024. The couple, however, chose not to publicly share the news until earlier this year.

“A lot has happened since then,” Arie said, while Lauren explained that they tried to conceive but she experienced a chemical pregnancy. Despite the ups and downs, Lauren shared that they were “super excited” for “our last baby.”
