Ariana Madix Performs at Thanksgiving Parade After VPR Recast

Ariana Madix celebrated the holiday season with a performance during the 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade just days after news broke of a Vanderpump Rules cast shakeup.

The reality star, 39, appeared on Peacock’s Birds of a Feather Stream Together float during the Thursday, November 28, parade in New York City, and performed the 1996 hit song “Lovefool” by The Cardigans.  She donned a cozy camel colored coat to keep her warm and dry at the rain-soaked the event, with her hair in half up and half down. She kept her glam simple and let her singing take center stage.

Earlier this week, Bravo announced that season 12 of Vanderpump Rules — which Madix made appearances in during season 2 and joined the main cast in season 3  — would feature Lisa Vanderpump alongside an entirely new cast, whom the network described as a group of “close-knit SUR-vers who are as complicatedly involved with one another as their iconic predecessors.”

“What a thrill it is to build on the legacy of this series by doing it all over again,” executive producer Alex Baskin said in a Tuesday, November 26, statement. “With profound appreciation for the original group and their iconic run, we can’t wait for the audience to see a dynamic new group of coworkers and friends make their way through life together.”

As Us gets ready for a brand-new version of Vanderpump Rules in 2025 — so does the OG cast. Bravo confirmed on Tuesday, November 26, that the show will return for a 12th season with a brand-new group of cast members. The upcoming season will feature Lisa Vanderpump and a fresh group of “close-knit SUR-vers […]

Later that day, Madix reacted to the news via Instagram.

Vanderpump Rules, you will forever be that girl 💖,” she wrote at the time. “I was up til 4 a.m. looking for all the right pics and the right words, but there’s no post or caption that could ever encapsulate everything. I am forever grateful to have been a part of such an incredible cultural phenomenon.”

After thanking the network and the crew behind the show, Madix turned her attention to the viewers.

“Thank you especially to the fans. You’ve been the constant over the last decade,” she gushed. “Your love and support is what I’ll miss the most about it ending. You made this show what it is. To the fans who have shown up for us, old and new, it’s all because of you that we are here.”

Madix concluded: “I’m feeling at peace with closing this chapter and I’m excited for everything that is to come. I don’t know that these were the best days of our lives, but they were definitely something special 💖.”

Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules, which aired from June to September 2023, featured Madix, Vanderpump, Tom Sandoval, Scheana Shay, Katie Maloney, Tom Schwartz, James Kennedy and Lala Kent as they dealt with the aftermath of Madix and Sandoval’s March 2023 split following his affair with their former costar Rachel Leviss. The scandal led to a divide among the cast, and Bravo subsequently placed an extended pause on production before filming for season 12 began.

Since Scandoval made headlines, Madix has benefitted from a variety of new career opportunities, making her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago and hosting the sixth season of Love Island USA earlier this year.
