Ariana Grande Wears 2nd Black Dress After Wicked: For Good Premiere
Ariana Grande is leaning into black outfits for the Wicked: For Good premiere.
Grande, 32, had more than one black look ready to go for the Wicked: For Good premiere in London on Monday, November 10. While leaving a hotel, she rocked a vintage 1950s couture dress featuring a semi-sheer top adorned with white florals on her chest and back. The look cascaded into a tulle tiered skirt finished with the same embellishments.
The actress, who plays Glinda in the movies, styled the elegant look with Christian Louboutin Cassia heels featuring a platform heel and lace-up design.
For glam, Grande kept her makeup the same as what she wore on the carpet. Her base included dewy foundation, blushed and bronzed cheeks and a contoured button nose with highlighter brushed on her high points. She elevated the look with long, flirty eyelashes and pearly shadow in her inner corner, filled-in eyebrows and pink, glossy lips, courtesy of her makeup brand, R.E.M. Beauty.
Her hair, which she recently dyed a chestnut shade of brown, was slicked back into a timeless bun with her baby bangs parted to the side.
On the red carpet, Grande looked wickedly good in a vintage Gilbert Adrian one-shoulder gown featuring beaded embellishments, a fitted bodice and a voluminous A-line dress complete with ruffled details.
The singer made her look even more sparkly with a diamond necklace and matching stud earrings.
Following the premiere, Grande took to Instagram to show off her stunning look.
“♡ Gilbert Adrian 1952 ♡ hello London, i love you 🫧@wickedmovie,” she captioned the post.
Her fans were quick to compliment her ensemble in the comments section. “Oh my god ! 🔥🔥🖤🖤🖤 love this,” one wrote, while another added, “Ball Gown… BALL GOWN!!”👑🖤 🪄😍,” referring to a famous Glinda quote. A third gushed, “Real life princess 🖤.”
Grande’s black getup was a big switch-up from her Wicked press tour in 2024, when she rocked pink looks, a butter yellow dress, which was a nod to an outfit worn by her character, pastel gingham prints and more.
One of her most talked about looks came in November 2024, when she slayed in a custom Vivienne Westwood Couture look. The gown featured a pastel pink corset complete with crystals in the shapes of fireworks, semi-sheer puffy sleeves and an A-line tulle skirt with different shades of rosy pink.
Grande made sure her fit was even more Glinda-approved with a diamond butterfly choker and coordinating earrings.
At the time, her hair was still dyed blonde and styled in a half-up coiffure with her face-framing pieces worn down. She rocked pastel pink eyeshadow, as well as shimmery lip gloss and cat-eye false lashes.
In September 2024, Grande opened up to Vogue about her decision to dye her brunette hair blonde while playing Glinda, even though she wore wigs while filming.
“My pop persona is such a characterized version on its own,” she explained. “Beauty really helped me deconstruct that person and find Glinda.”
She added, “Even though I was wearing wigs, I needed to be blonde, too.” Next, she bleached her brows to match the character, because there was “a softness that Glinda has with the lighter brows. It didn’t make any sense when I had my dark brows.”
Grande continued, noting that the character has been influential on her personal style, too. “I just wanted to live in the DNA and mindset of the character,” she said. “Now I love the color pink and it feels like part of me. I think it’s something I’ll be forever intertwined with in a very special way.”
Since wrapping filming, Grande debuted brunette strands in October via Instagram.
