Amy Slaton Shops for ‘Crazy Recipe’ in 1000-Lb. Sisters Preview
1000-Lb. Sisters star Amy Slaton loves to “experiment” with making new recipes.
In Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek of the Tuesday, October 22, episode of the TLC show, Slaton, 36, shops for groceries to make a white chocolate shrimp alfredo.
“I don’t know where my crazy recipes come from, I just want to experiment,” she shares. “At the end of the day, it might not be good, it might be bomb as f—.”
Slaton then asks a grocery store worker where they keep the white chocolate — and shocks the employee when she reveals what she’s making.
“It’s like regular alfredo, you just add chocolate chips,” Slaton explains to the woman.
The employee then notes that she “prefers garlic” in her alfredo sauce. Slaton is unfazed, replying that her cooking is “so different.”
“Maybe I’ll be on Dancing With the Chefs,” Slaton jokes before getting “typical” alfredo ingredients, which include onion powder, ranch powder, garlic powder, vanilla and creole seasoning.
Slaton then comes across a mysterious ingredient called “Puck Cream” — which she accidentally refers to as “F— Cream.”
“My head autocorrected that,” she shares before laughing. “I think it’s a sweet condensed milk type of deal. It looks Arabic or Indian or Taiwan or something. … I’ve never used ‘F— Cream,’ but I’ve used a lot of lube in my life.”
Since January 2020, Amy and her sister, Tammy Slaton, have been documenting their lives and their weight-loss journeys on 1000-Lb. Sisters.
Season 6 of the show, which premiered on October 8, explores Amy’s life as a single woman. Amy called it quits with ex Michael Haltermann in March 2023 after nearly four years of marriage. (The couple share sons Gage and Glenn, born in 2020 and 2022, respectively.)
“I told him over and over again, if he don’t change, I’m gonna leave,” Amy shared during a December 2023 episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters. “I used to be the glue that held our family together, but now I’m just the used piece of gum. I just want to be happy. I just want the divorce.”
One year after Amy and Haltermann’s divorce was finalized, the reality star made headlines once again after she was arrested on drug possession and child endangerment charges.
According to a Crockett County Sheriff’s Department Facebook post, Amy was taken into custody in September after police responded to a call about a guest being bitten by a camel at a local drive-through zoo.
“Upon arrival, deputies were immediately overtaken by suspicious odors coming from the guest’s vehicle,” the post explained, noting that Amy was arrested on “illegal possession of Schedule I, illegal possession of Schedule VI, and two counts of child endangerment.” A man named Brian Scott Lovvorn was also present in the car and arrested on the same charges.
The Crockett County Sheriff also confirmed to Us that Amy’s sons were present in the vehicle but were not injured and that the Department of Children and Family Services had become involved with the case.
“A plan has been put in motion involving the parents and there is still an ongoing investigation,” the PIO told Us, adding that Gage and Glenn were released into the custody of a family member following Amy’s arrest.
Amy and Lovvorn pleaded not guilty to drug possession and child endangerment charges. She is due back in court on November 7.
