Alex Cooper to Produce ‘Unique’ New Dating Show at Hulu: Details

“Call Her Daddy” podcast host Alex Cooper is adding TV producer to her already impressive resume.
Hulu announced on Wednesday, March 12, that they partnered up with Cooper, 30, and her Unwell Productions company for an unscripted dating show, tentatively titled Overboard for Love. Cooper is named as an executive producer on the project alongside Matt Kaplan and Mina Lefevre.
“I couldn’t be more excited that Unwell Productions’ first unscripted series, Overboard for Love, is coming to life with our amazing partner, Hulu,” Cooper shared in a statement on Wednesday. “This project marks a major milestone for us, perfectly reflecting our vision of creating bold, unfiltered content that pushes boundaries. We’ve designed a truly unique dating show, and I can’t wait for viewers to see what Unwell is capable of.”
The dating show will take place on a luxury yacht where singles “are ready to mix and mingle” along with looking for love, according to an official press release. Of course, there is a twist involved.
“Gaining access to the yacht’s extravagant amenities won’t be so simple,” the show’s logline reads. “As the journey unfolds, romance ignites, alliances form, and hearts are shattered. In the end, only one couple will reign supreme. Who will rise to the top, and who will be left stranded?”
Rob Mills, the executive vice president of unscripted and alternative entertainment at Walt Disney Television, also shared his excitement for the recently announced collaboration.
“I’m incredibly excited to be collaborating with Alex and the team at Unwell Productions on their first television project,” he said. “Alex is a trailblazer who is undoubtedly shaping the future of entertainment, and this is only the beginning of an exciting journey as we welcome her to the family.”
Cooper is already in the midst of a successful year. She recently signed a huge podcast deal at SiriusXM and launched her first-ever beverage, Unwell Hydration.
“I think I’m the most proud that I’ve stayed true to myself in every single thing I do is for the Daddy Gang and for myself,” Cooper told Us Weekly exclusively in December 2024. “Everything is for them because I would be nowhere without them. I think it’s being really honest and transparent and authentic about things. I’m never gonna just put my name and be like, ‘Guys, buy this product’ and I don’t actually believe in it or I didn’t even participate in the creation of it. I would say I’m just proud that as big as my life I feel like has gotten, I’ve really stayed true to the person that, like, pressed upload on episode one six years ago.”
