Adam Brody and Leighton Meester Attend 2025 Golden Globe Awards
Adam Brody and Leighton Meester celebrated his big night at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards.
The Nobody Wants This star, 45, and the Gossip Girl alum, 38, posed for photos on the red carpet ahead of the Sunday, January 5, ceremony at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Meester stunned in a light green shimmering dress with a cowl neckline, while Brody rocked a dark green double-breasted suit.
When asked about the biggest difference in his life from 20 years ago, Brody said on E! Live From the Red Carpet, “A family, you know, gives you a very different perspective. … I don’t want to quantify it, but it’s a big perspective shift. But hopefully it means in another 20 years I’ll be back as everyone’s favorite grandpa boyfriend.”
Brody is a first-time Golden Globes nominee. He is up for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for his role as rabbi Noah Roklov in the Netflix show Nobody Wants This. Shrinking’s Jason Segel, The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White, Only Murders in the Building’s Martin Short and Steve Martin and A Man on the Inside’s Ted Danson are also nominated in the category.
While fans have been enamored by his onscreen chemistry with his Nobody Wants This costar Kristen Bell since the series’ September 2024 premiere, in real life, Brody has been married to Meester since February 2014. The couple are parents of daughter Arlo, 9, and a son, 4, whose name has not been revealed.
The pair have maintained a relatively private romance over the years, but in December 2024, Brody offered an unprecedented glimpse into his connection with Meester.
“Despite the state of the world, I feel like I’m living my best life,” he told British magazine Stylist at the time. “I have a beautiful, dreamy family life. I have a good work-life balance and get to spend a lot of time with my kids. I’m in that really great period of middle age where I’m old enough to have seniority and work security but also still have enough of my body to be active and do all the things I want to. I’m a lucky guy.”
As for the two’s holiday plans, Brody revealed how they tackle the festivities as a team.
“I don’t do it a lot, but I’m a good host if I may say so myself,” he explained. “It’s usually a blur because I’m running around and making sure everyone is having a good time. But if we’re going to someone else’s, I like to think I make for good conversation. My wife and I have a dynamic: I will be the one that gets us there on time, but she will be the last to leave, long after I’ve started to get antsy to head home. So between us, we’re committed. We’re not just stopping by for an hour: if you have us, you have us.”
Brody then gushed over Meester and what it’s like to watch her interact with others in a crowd.
“When you’re out somewhere in public, there’s something very nice about seeing the person you’re with from across the room talking to someone else,” he noted. “It’s a totally different perspective and, ideally, it’s a very lovely and flattering one. In my case, it definitely is.”
