Emma Slater’s DWTS Partner Andy Richter Smooches Alan on Kiss Cam
Dancing With the Stars pros Emma Slater and Alan Bersten have the ultimate third wheel in comedian Andy Richter.
The trio and fellow DWTS pro Jan Ravnik attended the Saturday, December 6, Los Angeles Kings game and were caught on the Kiss Cam — where Slater, 36, and Bersten, 31, shared a sweet smooch. Ravnik, 30, jokingly gave the couple a thumbs-down as he watched.
Richter, meanwhile, proceeded to tap Bersten on the shoulder and the pair shared their own kiss. Ravnik went on to cheer for Richter, 59, and Bersten as Slater’s jaw dropped.
“I think @AndyRichterTikTok is getting a little comfortable,” Bersten captioned a TikTok video of the moment, alongside two laughing emojis.
Us Weekly broke the news in 2024 that Slater and Bersten were “hooking up.” The couple sealed their relationship with a kiss during the DWTS live show in April, and have since shared glimpses of their romance.
While reflecting on taking their relationship public, Bersten explained that the moment made their romance more “real.”
“I want everyone to know that Emma’s my girl, and I know she wants everyone to know that I’m her man,” he said on an episode of former partner Ilona Maher’s “House of Maher” podcast earlier this month.
Months after their onstage kiss, Slater was partnered with Richter on DWTS season 34 while Bersten was paired with actress Elaine Hendrix. Slater and Richter ultimately finished in 7th place, while Bersten and Hendrix, 54, placed 5th in the finale. (Ravnik, for his part, was partnered with The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Jen Affleck.)
After Slater and Richter were eliminated from the show, the DWTS pro reflected on their partnership — which captured the hearts of viewers — with a series of clips.
“All I can really say right now is I love you Andy and thank you for changing my life. I’m so glad now we are family. 💛,” Slater wrote via Instagram in November. “@richtercommaandy I cried about a million times putting this together. Look at these memories. You are SO SPECIAL.”
Richter, meanwhile, gushed that he was grateful for the physical and mental component of the experience with Slater.
“I really started to enjoy it and started to feel transformed by it and started to like the exercise,” he told People in November. “There was just a lightness to me, I mean in attitude. I was able to sort of feel like, yeah, I’m going to do this.”
Slater was also by Bersten’s side as he competed in the DWTS finale with Hendrix. (Wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin and pro Witney Carson ultimately won the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy, with influencer Alix Earle and pro Val Chmerkovskiy coming in second.)
“My boyfriend is a finalist. Again. What a pure champion. I’m so proud of you,” Slater captioned an Instagram video of her and Bersten kissing in November. “And im SO PROUD OF YOU @elaine4animals!! I have a kiss for you also btw. Congratulations you both, you BOTH deserve it so so much. Team Elaine.”
