Meet the New Winners of ‘The Challenge: Vets and New Threats’
The Challenge has officially crowned its season 41 winners.
During the Wednesday, December 3, episode of MTV’s hit reality show, viewers watched The Challenge vet Olivia Kaiser and The Amazing Race alum Yeremi Hykel earn first place in the final challenge of the season.
“Everyone that has ever told me that I’m not good enough or I can’t or the voices in my head that said I couldn’t or I’m not good enough have all gone silent,” Olivia shared after winning a $435,000 cash prize with her partner. “I’m a champ. I got exactly what I wanted and I got exactly what I deserved.”
In his very first season of The Challenge, Yeremi was moved to tears after he remembered his supportive mom’s words.
“This was so f***ing hard. But we did it. We did it together,” he said while getting visibly emotional in a confessional interview. “This money is going to change my life. It’s going to change my mom’s life. I’m just thinking about what my mom told me and she said, ‘Yeremi, no matter what, fight with every last breath in you and you can do it.’”
In second place, Survivor alum Sydney Segal and The Challenge superstar Turbo Turabi earned $50,000.
While Sydney was proud of her accomplishment, the attention quickly turned to her partner, who was showing signs of hypothermia. As a result, Turbo required assistance getting down from a mountain before he was subsequently airlifted for additional medical care.
Turbo vowed to come back “stronger and stronger,” promising viewers it wouldn’t be the last any of Us have seen of him.
Michaela Bradshaw and Big Brother alum Cedric Hodges rounded out the top 3 with a cash prize of $25,000. Each team battled through pain, sweat and tears before ascending up a treacherous path to a peak in the Andes Mountains.
“I’m not going to lie. Coming into these finals as a rookie, I was definitely naive,” Cedric said in a confessional interview after securing third place. “I thought it was going to be hard and one of the most challenging things in my life but I didn’t know to this extent.”
The former Big Brother contestant added, “This was designed to break you and some people break. I learned a lot about myself.”
The Challenge’s season 41 finale made headlines earlier in the week when portions of the finale leaked online.
An unauthorized TiKTok account grabbed the attention of some fans after it posted nearly seven minutes of the ending.
Ultimately, viewers at home learned in the final minutes of the show that Olivia and costar Theo Campbell were expecting a baby. The couple confirmed the arrival of their baby boy on Thanksgiving day.
“Our little love is finally here, and he is the sweetest, calmest baby you’ll ever meet,” she wrote via Instagram on November 27. “We are so grateful and so in love. I can’t wait for this beautiful new chapter in our lives.”
The Challenge: Vets and New Threats airs on MTV Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
