The excitement for the Super Bowl LX 2026 is hitting a fever pitch after three new pre-show performers were announced.

In December 2025, the NFL announced that Charlie Puth will be singing the national anthem ahead of the game, while Brandi Carlile will perform “America the Beautiful.” Coco Jones is also set to sing a performance of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” prior to the monumental matchup.

Meanwhile, Bad Bunny is set to take the stage for the iconic halftime show.

While Bad Bunny’s fans were excited by the news, some conservative commenters complained that the rapper was not an “American” and a singer who performs almost entirely in Spanish. (Bad Bunny is from Puerto Rico, a territory of the United States. Puerto Ricans are American citizens.)
