WWE Star Lash Legend Gushes About ‘No. 1 Fan’ Trick Williams (Excl)

WWE’s Lash Legend has made an immediate impact after being called up to the main roster — and she’s had NXT’s Trick Williams in her corner as the rising star’s biggest cheerleader.

“He’s literally my No. 1 fan,” Legend, 28, exclusively told Us Weekly. “He’s just so supportive. He’s so reassuring. I’m just so grateful to have him on my team. He’s always an ear for me, a shoulder to lean on. But he’s turned up. He’s just so excited for me.”

Legend continued, “I believe his time is coming, too, and I’m right there with him. It’s just great that we’re in a business where we understand what each other does, what we bring to the table. It just helps so much. Being able to have a partner while you do this journey is an amazing feeling. We’re both very appreciative of each other.”

The couple got engaged on Thanksgiving Day, which Legend showed off in a post via Instagram on Friday, November 28. “So honored blessed and thankful to spend the rest of my life with my handsome bestie,” Legend wrote.

Legend, a former WNBA star following a collegiate career at Texas A&M and Mississippi State, was called up to the SmackDown roster earlier this month after signing with WWE in December 2020.

“This past year, I just felt in my gut that it was going to happen,” Legend said. “I’ve been ready for as long as I could be … I prayed it would happen. I got a notification that I was needed and I said, ‘Alright, I’m going out there.’ And then once I was out there, I was told that I was officially on the main roster. I was so appreciative. I was like, ‘Well, let’s do it. I’m ready to go.’”

Despite a long-simmering stay in NXT, WWE’s developmental brand, Legend never lost faith that the main roster was in her future.

“Every moment and opportunity I had at NXT I felt was helpful,” she explained. “It was beneficial for me and my journey. I don’t think I had any doubt it would happen. It was just a matter of when. I was very optimistic. I know exactly who I am, I know what I have to offer and I was really confident that it was going to happen.”

She added, “I honestly wouldn’t want it any other way. I like the way that it’s happening for me right now.”

WWE star Grayson Waller almost found himself in a real-life slobberknocker after finding out that Taylor Swift fans are nothing to mess with. It all started back in October 2023, when Waller, 35, appeared on WWE’s now-defunct web series The Bump and discussed Swift’s new relationship with her now-fiancé, Travis Kelce.  “If Travis Kelce is […]

Legend’s preparedness will come in handy at WWE’s Survivor Series: WarGames on Saturday, November 30, when she teams with Nia Jax, Asuka, Kairi Sane and Becky Lynch to face Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Iyo Sky and AJ Lee in the women’s WarGames match, which will feature a steel cage surrounding two rings placed side-by-side.

“This ain’t no regular match,” Legend said. “You definitely have to come in mentally tough. It’s going to be a lot of physicality. A lot of things that I do in life, sometimes physically I just become a machine. You just go. You can’t think about it too much.”

Legend said she has a few “butterflies” about the big match, but said she’s “excited more than anything.”

“Something like this is so special,” she effused. “I’m glad to be a part of it and I’m ready to beat somebody, I can tell you that.”

Survivor Series: WarGames streams live on ESPN+ from San Diego’s Petco Park Saturday, November 29, at 7 p.m. ET.
