Who Is Leslie Caudill Turner? Meet the Wife of Missing Coach Travis Turner
Before high school football coach Travis Turner suddenly went missing last week, his wife, Leslie Caudill Turner, was his biggest supporter.
Leslie used her social media accounts to cheer on the Union High School football team, where Travis has coached since 2011.
Her support was evident on Facebook just days before Travis vanished, celebrating Union advancing to the Virginia state regional semifinals on November 15.
Just days later, Travis disappeared from the Turner family home and has not been heard from since.
Travis went missing as agents from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation were descending on his home, hoping to talk to him about an open investigation. When they were en route to the Turner residence, however, agents were informed that Travis had fled.
In a since-deleted Facebook post on Friday, November 21, Leslie wrote, “I just wanted to get on here for a second to clear up something, as of right now, 10:25 PM on Friday night, Travis is missing, & that’s all we know. We love him & need him here with us. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love & support. It means more than you know. Just keep praying that he comes home.”
The Virginia State Police revealed Travis had been charged with five counts of possession of child pornography and five counts of using a computer to solicit a minor on Tuesday, November 25.

Leslie and Travis Turner Have Been Married for Nearly 25 Years
The couple got married on New Year’s Day in 2001, meaning Travis went missing just weeks before their 25th wedding anniversary.
“Happy New Year everyone & happy 24th anniversary to my hubby!” Leslie shared via Facebook in January, alongside pictures from their wedding day. “We grew up together & managed to raise 3 pretty great kids along the way. Here’s to 2025!”
Leslie and Travis Turner Share 3 Children
The couple are parents of sons Bailey, 25, and Grayden, 20, and daughter Brynlee, 11.
Bailey was a quarterback at Union High School from 2015 to 2018 — taking over the starting job during his sophomore season — with his father, Travis, as acting head coach.
“We try to keep football separate from the field and the house,” Bailey told The Bristol Herald Courier in 2017. “But if I need to work on something, Dad will show me in the backyard. And we do drills all summer.”
Bailey is now a physical education teacher at Union and on his father’s coaching staff.
Leslie celebrated the birthday of son Grayden, who is currently enlisted in the United States Army, with a celebratory Facebook post in April.
“Happy 20th birthday to my favorite middle child,” Leslie wrote. “I love you & hope you have the best birthday ever! I love you more.”
As a new school year began in August, Leslie shared photos of Travis and Brynlee as they prepared to start their respective years.
“First day of 6th grade for my baby girl & the first day of his 21st year of teaching for my hubby,” Leslie wrote via Facebook.
Leslie Turner Is a Proud Football Wife
Leslie’s Facebook page has become a place for Union High School football fans to congregate, with the head coach’s wife routinely posting updates about the team.
“Game day! Good luck to my guys today & to all of Unions football team & coaches #GoBears #UnionBearsFootball #coachswife #coachsmom #footballwife #playoffs,” she wrote before the team’s state regional quarterfinals game against Lee High School on November 15, just five days before her husband went missing.
Leslie also used her Facebook page to acknowledge the agony of defeat.
“I’m absolutely heartbroken our season ends today,” she wrote in November 2024 after a playoff loss to Graham High School. “I’m always so proud of these boys win or lose, all day everyday.”
Leslie Turner Addressed the Charges Against Her Husband
After Travis was charged with five counts of possession of child pornography and five counts of using a computer to solicit a minor, Leslie came to her husband’s defense.
“None of that is true,” Leslie told the Daily Mail in a story published on Tuesday, November 25. “He’s a good dad and a good husband and we want him home. That’s it.”
Leslie added, ”I don’t know anything. I don’t know anything. I’m sorry.”
