Millie Bobby Brown Glitters in Plunging Gown at Stranger Things Event

Millie Bobby Brown impeccably shut down the Stranger Things red carpet.

Brown, 21, stepped out with her Netflix costars at the series’ FYC event on Saturday, November 8, in Los Angeles, where her outfit completely stole the show.

The actress wowed in a form-fitting black sequin gown with a plunging neckline and velvet bow affixed to the bodice. Brown completed her ensemble with diamond hoop earrings and an array of rings.

Brown previously added red highlights to her naturally brunette locks for the show’s premiere earlier this week, which she wore with face-framing tendrils on Saturday.

“Throughout this press tour, we’ve been leaning into a more lived-in, timeless aesthetic,” hairstylist Pete Burkill told Vogue about the hair transformation. “The red is something we’ve wanted to explore for a while.”

Brown, for her part, doesn’t give weight to many critics of her style changes.

“If me being blonde or wearing more make-up really bothers you, I’m going to address it — not just for myself, but for every other girl who wants to try a new hairstyle or wear a red lip,” the Florence by Mills founder told British Vogue in its latest cover story. “It’s, like, get off my f***ing case, you know? I am 21. I am going to have fun and play and be myself.”

She continued, “I can’t silence the 500 million people behind their phones. So what is the realistic route here? I think it’s just uplift and empower young people. Can we fight back harder? Can we instill self-love and confidence into girls to be able to believe in themselves no matter what anyone says? That I can do. That I will do.”

Brown spends most of her downtime on her Georgia farm, where she lives with husband Jake Bongiovi and their infant daughter. (Brown and Bongiovi, 23, adopted their first child this summer.)

“It’s been a beautiful, amazing journey — she’s taught us so much already,” she told the magazine. “Perspective is a huge thing. The smaller things in life are so much more precious. Our days are filled with lots of cuddles and laughter and love. It’s just endless joy. We are 50-50 on everything. That’s why I’m so grateful to have partnered with him in this life. He is just the most amazing dad.”

Brown and Bongiovi have not publicly shared photos of their daughter’s face or revealed her name.

“For me, it’s really important to protect her and her story until she’s old enough to potentially one day share it herself,” the British actress stated. “It’s not my place to purposefully put her in the spotlight unwillingly. “If she chooses to share her personality one day with the world, like I did when I was young, that’s something we’d support. But right now, as she’s so little. As her parents, it’s our job to protect her from that.”
