Justin Bieber Says He’s ‘Felt Unworthy’ in Personal Message to Fans

Justin Bieber is getting real about how he thinks of himself while living in the public eye.

“People told me my whole life, ‘Wow Justin, u deserve that’ and I personally have always felt unworthy,” Bieber, 31, wrote via his Instagram Story on Thursday, March 13. “Like I was a fraud.”

The Grammy winner continued, “Like when people told me I deserve something, it made me feel sneaky, like, damn if they only knew my thoughts. How judgmental I am, how selfish I really am. They wouldn’t be saying this.”

As Gold Tiger’s “Sneaky Sneaky” played in the background of the post, Bieber reminded his followers that if they aren’t feeling their absolute best, they are not alone.

Throughout his career, Justin Bieber has been an open book with his dedicated legion of Beliebers about his ongoing struggles with his mental health. “Justin has become a recluse and a changed person. He has no interest in being a celebrity and an artist,” an insider close to the Grammy winner told Us Weekly exclusively […]

“I say all this to say if you feel sneaky, welcome to the club,” he concluded. “I definitely feel unequipped and unqualified most days.”

Bieber’s candid social media post comes as the “Baby” singer continues to face public scrutiny for his behavior.

In February, Bieber’s rep told TMZ that rumors about Bieber using hard drugs were “absolutely not true,” calling the speculation “exhausting and pitiful.” Per the rep, the chatter about Bieber’s mental health “shows that despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive.”

Bieber’s rep added that the past year has been “very transformative” for the singer, who “ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him.”

The chatter, however, continued when Bieber rapped about being “high” and was photographed smoking a bong.

One person who appears to be in Justin’s corner is his wife, Hailey Bieber. As the couple continues to raise their 6-month-old son, Jack, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that the Rhode founder, 28, remains a positive force in Justin’s life.

“Hailey is trying to be as supportive as possible,” the insider explained to Us. “It can be hard for Hailey, but she’s always there for him and is understanding.”

Through it all, Justin continues to give fans hope that he will return to music sooner rather than later. Earlier in the week, he shared a photo of himself playing the piano in a makeshift studio. In a separate post, he posed next to a guitar as he seemingly worked on new tracks.

“Justin is a happy camper right now,” a source told Us in February, adding that “he’s happier than he’s been in a long time.”

The insider added that “there’s no breakdown” and Bieber “just really doesn’t care what people think.”
