Justin Tucker’s Wife Addresses His Sexual Misconduct Allegations

In the wake of Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker being accused of inappropriate conduct by 16 massage therapists, his wife is choosing to stand by his side.

“The false allegations against Justin have caused so much hurt to our family,” Tucker’s wife, Amanda Bass, said in a statement to Outkick. “I believe my husband, and I love and support him fully.”

Tucker, 35, has been accused of sexually inappropriate behavior by the massage therapists —  allegations which include exposing himself during sessions, brushing massage therapists’ thighs and, in one case, leaving semen on the massage table after his massage.

The accusations were made in two separate articles published in The Baltimore Banner in January and February of this year. Tucker’s behavior is alleged to have happened from 2012 to 2016 at eight different spas in the Baltimore area.

Tucker, who has claimed his innocence throughout the process, also issued a statement to Outkick about the allegations.

“I maintain I did not act inappropriately at any point before, during, or after a professional bodywork treatment session, nor have I ever been told I am unwelcome at any massage therapy provider,” Tucker said. “These claims are simply not true.”

While not admitting guilt, Tucker did apologize if his actions were taken as untoward.

“It devastates me to know that anyone I have worked with would not have felt respected and valued as a professional, but more importantly as a person, and to anyone who has felt otherwise, I am sorry,” his statement continued.  “I want you to know I am committed to ensuring that everyone I interact with continues to feel that I respect them and care about them as a human being.”

Tucker added, “Physical therapy and massage therapy are a large part of why I’ve been consistently healthy and available during the football season. In fact, both my wife and I continue to count so many of those professionals as our friends. I absolutely respect the massage therapy profession and more so the individuals who work as massage therapists.”

Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta addressed the “serious and concerning” allegations against Tucker at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis on Wednesday, February 26.

“I think we’re fortunate that the league is doing an investigation,” DeCosta, 53, told reporters. “We’ll wait as patiently as we can for as much information as we can, and we’ll make our decisions based on that.”

According to ESPN, NFL investigators traveled to Baltimore last week to speak directly with some of Tucker’s accusers.

Ravens head coach, John Harbaugh also addressed the allegations during his media availability at the Combine.

“That’s what we’re waiting to try to do is reconcile it,” Harbaugh, 62, said. “That’s what the process is for. That’s why you’ve got to come to an understanding if you can, about what happened. We’ve all got questions, but nobody knows exactly what happened. So, let’s see where the review takes us.”
