Eagles’ Cooper DeJean’s Girlfriend Reacts to His Super Bowl Pick Six

Cooper DeJean’s girlfriend, Steph Wilfawn, had an incredible seat to witness his Super Bowl 2025 interception touchdown return. 

DeJean, a rookie cornerback for the Philadelphia Eagles, intercepted Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the second quarter of Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, February 9, returning the interception 38 yards for a pick six.

The play, which put the Eagles up 17-0, happened on DeJean’s 22nd birthday. 

Wilfawn, who first posted a photo of herself and DeJean via Instagram in July 2024, posted a video of the awe-inspiring moment via her Instagram Story. 

“Happy birthday @cooperdejean 🤭,” Wilfawn captioned a wild video from inside New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome. 

Wilfawn wore a pair of bedazzled boots with “DeJean” on them, which she showed off via her Instagram Story before the big game. 

In September 2024, Wilfawn wore a jersey repping the Iowa Hawkeyes, DeJean’s alma mater, in a carousel of photos she posted via Instagram. “Go Hawks,” DeJean commented, to which Wilfawn responded, “Hey iowa hotguy.”

DeJean was drafted with the 40th overall pick by the Eagles in the 2024 NFL Draft. 

Wilfawn was on the sidelines of Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field in November 2024 for the Eagles game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. “Philly Philly 💚,” Wilfawn captioned the photo carousel, which included two snaps with DeJean. 

In January 2025, Wilfawn and DeJean attended a Philadelphia 76ers game together. Wilfawn posted a couple of photos from the NBA game, but DeJean roasted her photography skills in the comments. “Blurry pic,” he wrote. 

In an interview with KDSM-Des Moines before Super Bowl LIX, DeJean’s parents, Jason and Katie, gushed about their son’s journey to the NFL.

“He had special athletic ability from a young age. He really took to it, like a lot of the sports he would just kind of change from season to season,” Jason said of his son, who was also a star basketball player in high school.

Jason added, “He’s just a pretty caring kid you know, he’s modest and goes about his business and I don’t think he’s a big show boat or anything like that.”

Cooper’s mother, Katie, said her son would gladly throw away individual achievements for team success — like a Super Bowl, for instance. 

“He’s got plenty of awards,” she said. “I think if you asked him, he’d rather win a championship as a team or something like that, more of a team player.”
