Rebecca Minkoff Announces She Will Not Return to RHONY

Rebecca Minkoff’s time on The Real Housewives of New York City has come to an end.

Minkoff, 42, took to Instagram on Tuesday, February 4 — the same night in which part two of the season 15 RHONY reunion was aired by Bravo — to announce her departure from the reality series after just one season.

“I am truly grateful for the experience, the friendships and the fans that have been part of this RHONY chapter,” the fashion designer wrote in white text against a black background. “Time to turn the page.”

Minkoff simply captioned the post, “#newchapter.”

Us Weekly has reached out to a network representative for comment.

Minkoff’s announcement followed an interview she conducted with Us earlier that day, which discussed why she didn’t openly talk about her religion, Scientology, while appearing on RHONY. Minkoff told Us during the chat that it “was never brought up in a manner that was respectful.”

Her Instagram post also delved into the many projects that will take priority in Minkoff’s life for the remainder of the year. “2025 is a new beginning for me and with current events in the world, I am reminded [of] the importance of family, friends and community now more than ever,” Minkoff wrote. “The last month has given me a new perspective on wanting to focus on my wildly amazing 4 kids, my supportive husband, my business of 20 years, the Female Founder Collective, my podcast and MY BOOK.”

She continued, “As much as I have learned along the way with this franchise and fans, I want to reprioritize the things that mean the most to me: designing, giving back, supporting women and raising my family.”

Minkoff told Us that she felt her Scientology faith served as a ploy for her RHONY story line after her castmates failed to give her the impression that they were interested in learning more about the religion.

“It was always done with, as Brynn [Whitfield] says, ‘I like to play horrible games. I like to stir the pot,’” Minkoff alleged of how her belief was perceived during filming.

During an episode that aired in October 2024, Whitfield brought Scientology up with Jessel Taank during a helicopter ride to the Hamptons. Minkoff used the scene as an example to highlight her point about her religion’s inclusion in the show.

“I think that the other time she brought it up in the helicopter, she had already been drinking all day, and it was not done from a point of care,” Minkoff told Us. “And we had barely met. So do I dive in and ask you your religious beliefs having never met you? Get to know me.”

The news that designer Rebecca Minkoff is filming with the Real Housewives of New York City cast has brought with it some fascinating questions. Mainly, will Minkoff’s beliefs as a Scientologist play a role in season 15 of the Bravo staple? A source close to production told Us Weekly that Minkoff has “been shooting with […]

The episode later captured Whitfield describing the conversation and Minkoff’s involvement as, “like I’m talking to a door–to-door salesman trying to sell me snake oil,” which Minkoff slammed as “offensive” during part two of the reunion episode.

During the reunion, Minkoff also clapped back at a fan who said she should “stop normalizing cults” by talking about Scientology on the show.
