Fans think Joe Burrow’s ex Olivia Holzmacher is hinting at their split in her first social media post since speculation swirled of their separation.

“Be intentional , do the hard $hit , && show, don’t tell. I found my deeper well,” Holzmacher captained her Instagram post on Sunday, February 2, alongside a carousel of images including a shelf of books with titles that read, Get Out of Your Head, 8 Rules of Love and Eat, Pray, Love.

Holzmacher’s Instagram upload was quickly flooded with supportive messages from fans.

“Queens, take notes! She disappeared for a year and two days—no posts, no noise, just healing. She read. She created. She played with Legos and grew plants. She rode horses. Moving forward isn’t just letting go—it’s rising, transformed, with wisdom in your scars and light in your eyes. Your next chapter isn’t just survival; it’s power, beauty, and unstoppable growth.”

Burrow, 28, and Holzmacher, who met while attending The Ohio State University, began dating in 2017. When Burrow graduated from Ohio State in 2018 and enrolled at Louisiana State University to play quarterback for the Tigers, the pair continued to pursue their relationship. Holzmacher went on to be by Burrow’s side when he was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2020.

Three years later, retired NFL star Adam “Pacman” Jones claimed that Burrow and Holzmacher took the next step in their relationship. “I think life is great for Burrow,” the NFL commentator said on an episode of “The Pat McAfee Show” in August 2023. “He just got engaged, too.”

While Burrow and Holzmacher did not address their relationship status at the time, rumors began swirling one year later that the pair called it quits after they had not been spotted together in months.

Rumors subsequently began swirling in summer 2024 that Burrow was pursuing a romance with
with Sports Illustrated model Olivia Ponton. In December 2024, their relationship appeared to be unveiled. (Neither Burrow nor Ponton, 22, have addressed their relationship status.)

After his home was broken into in December 2024, a police report obtained by TMZ Sports named Ponton as the individual who was on the scene at Burrow’s home when deputies arrived. Ponton told authorities she observed a “shattered bedroom window” and that a room had been “ransacked.”

Ponton called her mom, Diane, who phoned the police. “Someone is trying to break into the house right now,” Ponton’s mother told the dispatcher. “My daughter is there. This is Joe Burrow’s house. She is staying there. He’s at the football game.”
