Jax Taylor Says He’ll See VPR Cast on ‘My Show’ After Bravo Shakeup
Jax Taylor is reminiscing on his Vanderpump Rules days after Bravo announced season 12 will feature an all-new cast.
In an Instagram post shared on Wednesday, November 27, Taylor, 45, posted two throwback clips from his time on Vanderpump Rules set to the viral audio, “And then I go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like, ‘I love you.’”
“I’m the No. 1 guy in this group,” Taylor said to Tom Sandoval, who replied, “Are you f—ing kidding me Jax?”
In a heated exchange with Lisa Vanderpump, Taylor said, “This is why my show is successful.” The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum replied, “It’s actually not your show. It’s actually my show.”
“I mean … this can be a series on its own 🫣,” Taylor captioned the upload. “In all seriousness, Vanderpump Rules will always have a part of my heart. From what started as a crazy group of friends working together to make ends meet to becoming such an iconic series and pop culture phenomenon … so many memories both good and bad.”
“Many highs, probably more lows … but I’m so thankful to have worked with such an incredibly talented team @thealexbaskin @evolutionusa @nbcuniversal,” he continued. “This isn’t goodbye … more like … see ya soon …. on MY show — but for real this time 😈😂 #TheValley @bravotv.”
Taylor’s post comes one day after Bravo announced a cast shakeup for season 12 of Vanderpump Rules. While still including Vanderpump, the show will feature a new group of “close-knit SUR-vers who are as complicatedly involved with one another as their iconic predecessors.” The season is set to begin production next year, with a premiere date and casting to be announced at a later date.
More than 10 years after Vanderpump Rules premiered, the reality TV series reached new levels of fame after Sandoval and Ariana Madix ended their relationship due to his affair with James Kennedy’s ex-fiancée, Rachel Leviss. The scandal, nicknamed Scandoval, led to a cast divide and Bravo subsequently pressed pause on the show before filming season 12.
Taylor was a cast member on Vanderpump Rules from the show’s debut season in 2013 until he and his then-wife, Brittany Cartwright, left the series in 2020. Taylor and Cartwright, 35, went on to return to reality TV on The Valley earlier this year.
The Valley, which debuted in March, also stars Kristen Doute, Luke Broderick, Danny Booko, Nia Booko, Jesse Lally, Michelle Lally, Jason Caperna and Janet Caperna. The Vanderpump Rules spinoff has followed the end of Jesse and Michelle’s marriage as well as Cartwright realizing she’s not happy in her relationship with Taylor.
While season 2 of the series has yet to air, Vanderpump Rules’ Scheana Shay and Lala Kent were seen filming scenes for the show after making brief cameos in season 1.
