Kelly Ripa Jokes Husband Mark Consuelos Is ‘Not Going to Get Lucky’

Kelly Ripa often makes on-air jokes about her and husband Mark Consuelos’ sex life, but this time she’s talking about the lack thereof.

The Live With Kelly and Mark audience booed Consuelos, 53, during the talk show’s Wednesday, November 13, episode, after he beat a call-in contestant named Janet at the guessing game “Stump Mark.”

“That’s right, that’s right, boo him, audience!” Ripa, 54, joked. “Janet, just so you know, Mark’s not going to get lucky tonight!”

Consuelos won “Stump Mark” after correctly guessing that a fun fact — that Janet received a pink moped for her 30th birthday — was true. He tried to defend himself as the crowd booed.

After two-plus decades of marriage, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have never stopped having the hots for each other — and they want the world to know! The couple, who met while starring on All My Children in the ‘90s, tied the knot in 1996 and went on to welcome three kids: Michael (born 1997), […]

“I can’t help it, it just comes out of me!” he said. “Listen, Janet, I’m sorry you ride a pink moped.”

Ripa reassured her husband, “these are just jokes” after implying that she planned to withhold sex over his “Stump Mark” performance. The couple, who tied the knot in 1996, have been candid about the role physical intimacy plays in their marriage.

During a 2020 joint appearance on Bruce Bozzi’s SiriusXM show Quarantined With Bruce, Consuelos shared that he and Ripa have never gone more than a few weeks without having sex, noting that their dry spells usually happen “when I’m on the road working.”

Ripa chimed in to say that meeting her former All My Children costar “really young” helped them find their sexual footing as a couple.

“We learned each other well, and with that comes a certain level of comfort and confidence and experimentation,” she said. “We have fun. We enjoy [each other].”

The twosome’s sex life is so healthy that they had to warn their daughter Lola, 23, about knocking on their bedroom door when she returned home to live with them during her last semester of college.

“I said, ‘Lola, I don’t want you to take this the wrong way, I’m very excited that you are home. We missed you. You are the heart of this family. You’re so funny and you’re just fantastic — but you gotta knock,’” Consuelos recalled during a January 2023 episode of Live With Kelly and Ryan. “Because at this point, anything you walk in on is your problem.”

Lola previously weighed in on her mom’s habit of posting Instagram thirst traps of Consuelos during an August 2020 interview with People.

“That’s disgusting,” she told Ripa. “I block that out of my mind. I forgot that you even did that.”

Consuelos and Ripa, who also share sons Michael, 27, and Joaquin, 21, celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary in May.

“Squeezing 28 years into 10 pics is not possible, but you get the idea,” Ripa wrote via Instagram to commemorate the occasion. “Happy anniversary to the love of my life @instasuelos ♥️ So grateful to you for all the dreams come true.”
