Travis Kelce Wanted to See Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour ‘1 More Time’
Travis Kelce proved that showing support is how you get — or in this case, keep — the girl.
The 35-year-old NFL star shared during the Wednesday, November 6, episode of the “New Heights” podcast that he wanted to see girlfriend Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour “one more time” before it ends for good.
“I’ll tell you what, man, the American crowds, they did not disappoint,” Travis told his brother and podcast cohost, Jason Kelce. “I heard that it was a lot more rowdy this time around, knowing she was coming back to stop through America one last time before the tour was over with. I’ll tell you what, man, that thing was rocking.”
Travis kept a low profile during his most recent Eras Tour outing on Saturday, November 2, which marked the second night of Swift’s stint at Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium. Eagle-eyed fans spotted him in the VIP tent talking with Indiana Fever basketball player Caitlin Clark.
During Wednesday’s podcast episode, Travis recalled crossing paths with the fellow athlete.
“She was into the show for sure. She was there with her mom and a few friends. I think this is, like, her third or fourth show she had been to,” Travis said. “She’s a Swiftie through and through, man. Loves the show.”
Travis bonded with Clark, 22, over their love for Swift, but they also got along because of their middle America roots.
“She loves being out there in Indianapolis, it’s a fun city,” Travis said of Clark. “We’re both just true Midwesterners to the heart, you know, played high school ball, college ball, pro ball all out here in the Midwest. It was cool catching up with her.”
With Travis in the crowd during Saturday’s show, Swift appeared to include some subtle nods to her man on stage.
While singing “So High School” during The Tortured Poets Department era, Swift recreated her boyfriend’s signature archer pose, which she’s done at multiple shows throughout the latest leg of her tour. For the 1989 set, she opted for a Kansas City Chiefs-colored outfit and, of course, she changed the “Karma” lyrics to “guy on the Chiefs” to close out the night.
Swift finished her three-day run in Indianapolis on Sunday, November 3, before jetting off to Kansas City to watch Travis play. The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30-24 on Monday, November 4, at Arrowhead Stadium.
Swift sat in a suite alongside her mom, Andrea, her brother, Austin, and Travis’ mom, Donna. She was also seen interacting with Brittany Mahomes, who is pregnant with her and quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ third baby, during the game.
During Travis’ postgame interview, Swift even got a shout-out from ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt.
“You work late, but not like your girl. She works for, like, three hour shows,” the broadcaster joked. “You put in a light night of work.”
