Bella Hadid’s Horse Girl Pants Are Carrie Bradshaw-Approved
Fashion loves a horse girl — just ask Bella Hadid.
Since hard-launching her rodeo champion boyfriend, Adan Banuelos, earlier this year, the supermodel has been nailing western style in lots of denim cutoff Daisy Dukes, leather cowboy boots, wide-brimmed suede hats and even actual chaps.
But Hadid, 27, is far from the first to take equestrian-inspired looks to cool new heights, as she reminded us all on Saturday, November 2, in New York City when she rocked a pair of very rare vintage Chloé trousers designed by another horse girl: none other than fashion designer Stella McCartney.
Featuring a silk appliqué of a galloping horse winding around one leg, Hadid’s Stella McCartney-era Chloé pants are from the enduring “Horses” collection from the Spring 2001 runway — and were famously worn by Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) in season 4 of Sex and the City during a date-night scene with Aidan Shaw (John Corbett).
Another statement piece swung from Hadid’s shoulder: A fringe suede crossbody, dubbed the Nellcôte bag, that just debuted in Alessandro Michele’s first collection for Valentino from the Spring 2025 shows.
Coupled with her trusty western boots, Hadid’s bag, like her pants, was right in line with her love for down-home style with a fashion-forward twist. Embellished with silver studs and grommets, the accessory was further proof she’s already a step ahead of one of next season’s most talked-about trends.
Hadid added her signature Y2K-esque black sunglasses and hoop earrings. It’s safe to wager the Orebella founder finished the look with a spritz of her newest fragrance, Nightcap, which she previously told Vogue was sweetly inspired by a special relationship the model shared with a horse of the same name.
Spiked with vanilla and wood, the scent a tribute to the power and confidence that she felt when riding. And from her cowgirl-meets-fashion-girl aesthetic, it seems that Hadid is continuing to hit her sartorial stride.
