Terminator Franchise Stars: Where Are They Now?

Many stars of The Terminator franchise aren’t afraid to say, “I’ll be back.”

The original 1984 film starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as the titular character who is seeking to eliminate Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) whose unborn son will ultimately save mankind from extinction.

Schwarzenegger, Hamilton and Michael Biehn returned for the 1991 sequel titled Judgement Day. Following the second movie’s success, a third film was released in 2003, with only Schwarzenegger to return among a new cast.

For the franchise’s fourth installment, Schwarzenegger did not return for the movie but his likeness was briefly used. Instead, Terminator Salvation — which was meant to be a reboot — featured a new cast starring Christian Bale, Sam Worthington and more.

Despite doing well at the box office, Terminator Salvation received negative reviews. Plans for another movie with the new cast were subsequently scrapped. In 2015, Schwarzenegger reprised his role in Terminator Genisys. Following the success of the new reboot with Schwarzenegger a sequel titled Terminator: Dark Fate hit theaters in 2019 and brought back Hamilton.
