Selena Gomez Shares Selfie With Acne on Her Chin: ‘Skin Is Over Me’

Selena Gomez isn’t hiding her acne, she’s embracing them — and inspiring others along the way.

Gomez, 32, took to Instagram on Tuesday, October 22, to share a candid selfie of a recent breakout (we’ve all been there). In the snap, she donned a pout while side-eyeing the camera. Gomez had one blemish slightly below her lip and another on her chin. Besides the minor imperfections, her complexion was as dewey as ever and her eyebrows looked flawlessly groomed.

Gomez’s brunette strands were neatly parted down the middle and styled in a bouncy blowout which she tucked behind her ears.

The singer kept her look laid back with a purple T-shirt plus several stud and huggie hoop earrings.

“Even my skin is over me rn 🥸,” Gomez captioned the post, reminding us all that even celebrities get acne, too.

In February, Gomez’s makeup artist Melissa Murdick opened up about how to completely conceal a pimple while chatting with E!.

“Put coverage where it’s needed. If you’re getting breakouts on your cheeks or in localized areas, go in with a full-coverage product in those areas and use lighter coverage over the face,” she explained, noting it will look “more natural” that way.

She also blends the product into the skin as soon as she applies it, rather than letting it sit for a minute. “It’s much less creasing,” she said. “You can build up to the amount that you need and it erases things on your face.”

For textured skin, Murdick recommended sweeping powder across the skin to give everything a blurred effect. “Visually, it lessens it. And it can be a small amount of powder, it doesn’t have to be intense.”
