Hailey Bieber Shares Her 5-Step Nighttime Skincare Routine After Baby
Since Hailey Bieber gave birth to her first child with husband, Justin, back in August, she has been getting back to basics, sporting pared-back styles and debuting newly dyed auburn hair.
Case in point? The Rhode beauty founder, 27, took to her Instagram Story on Monday, October 21, to share a video reposted from the brand’s social media that breaks down her latest five-step nighttime skincare routine — which is a big departure from the nearly twice as many products that she once slathered on before bed, as she shared via YouTube in 2023.
The game-changing ingredient in her latest nightly beauty lineup is Rhode’s soon-to-be released Barrier Butter – set to drop Monday, October 28. Naturally, Hailey is already using the cream on the regular, as revealed in Monday’s Instagram video detailing her pre-bed beauty necessities.
Not to be confused with the Barrier Restore Cream, this new buttery-smooth formula is said to deliver more intensive hydration that will “supercharge your nighttime routine,” strengthen the skin’s barrier and seal in moisture for up to 24 hours, according Rhode’s website (where you can currently join a waitlist to be first in line when the much-hyped Butter Barrier is available).
With her hair pulled into a slicked back bun, Hailey starts by using Rhode’s Daily Cleaner. Formulated with pineapple extract, it rinses away impurities while still leaving the skin soft. After a few splashes of water, she dabs herself with a washcloth, then preps her face and neck with the nutrient-rich Glazing Milk (which recently earned a 2024 Best of Beauty Award from Allure).
Then, she follows it up with the Peptide Glazing Fluid – also known as her “signature step for? dewy skin.” It’s also the product that started the “glazed donut” phenomenon that became her beauty claim to fame. As Hailey declared via a 2021 YouTube: “My standard when I go to bed at night is that if I’m not getting into bed at night looking like a glazed donut, then I’m not doing the right thing.”
Now it’s time for the Barrier Butter (cue the oohs and aahs), and it appears to be as thick and creamy as an actual stick of butter. After massaging it into her skin, she applies an extra dollop to her hands, which as any beauty guru knows, are the first place to show signs of visible aging.
With the two-part glazing process complete, her complexion indeed now looks to be as soft and plump as an actual Krispy Kreme donut. For the final step, she swipes on a nourishing Peptide Lip Treatment that leaves a glossy sheen and promises “pillow soft” results, just in time for bed.
