Love Hotel Host Joel Kim Booster Apologizes for Shannon Beador Rant

Love Hotel host Joel Kim Booster is apologizing to Shannon Beador after he publicly criticized her behavior on the set of the upcoming reality show.

“Re: The Housewives of it all, I’ve had a lot of time to think and process about this and I wish I could say that I was not the guy who posted those statements on Instagram, but the fact is that I am,” Booster, 36, wrote via his Instagram Story on Friday, October 11. “I let an onset conflict cloud my judgment and accessed the darkest, ugliest part of myself and said things I don’t stand by or even believe and I am deeply sorry that allowed my worst self to cloud my judgment.”

In a series of since-deleted Instagram Stories from September 29, Booster called Beador, 60, “a pathetic drunk” who treated the people she worked with as “subhuman.” In another post, he wrote, “Hope she suffers.”

Beador responded to the allegations while appearing at the Shannon & Vicki Live! show at the Irvine Improv on October 3.

“I really don’t know what it’s about because that night before the wrap party, he had tears in his eyes and he said, ‘I’m so happy for you,’” Beador recalled in a video obtained by attendee @BravoBreakingNews. “It’s really going to look silly for him because he had nothing but love for me the entire show.”

Peacock previously announced a new dating show would be coming soon titled Love Hotel. Single Real Housewives stars including Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Luann de Lesseps and Beador would be participating in hopes of finding a forever partner.

Beador has been single ever since her relationship with John Janssen came to an end in September 2023, not long after her arrest for an alleged DUI and hit-and-run.

Janssen, 62, has since moved on and is currently engaged to Beador’s Real Housewives of Orange County costar Alexis Bellino.

“I know Shannon has had an extraordinarily hard year as she has bravely shared and as someone who has struggles of their own that have spilled over into work, I should have had more grace for her in that moment,” Booster said in his apology. “I am deeply sorry for the ways in which I’ve made Shannon’s road toward stability more difficult and hope that she makes it out the other side of this stronger, healthier and with the love that she deserves in her life.”

Despite the social media drama, the former Fire Island star is hopeful that viewers will still tune in to watch all the fun that was captured at the Love Hotel.

“I regret making this a part of the story of our show,” Booster added, “as I’m deeply proud of the work myself, the ladies and the crew put into making it.”
