3 Great Amazon Prime Movies to Watch in March 2025

Amazon Prime offers more than just fast delivery, because Prime Video also has one of the largest libraries of movies around.
However, Prime Video sometimes downplays its movie lineup by promoting its Amazon originals over older films.
While certain titles, like the recently added Smile 2, can break out of the pack, there are a lot more flicks that don’t get the Prime Video spotlight they deserve.
That’s why What to Watch has put together this list of three Amazon Prime movies that you need to watch in March. And since there’s no guarantee that they’ll be around in April, you better start streaming as soon as possible.
Spotlight (2015)
Spotlight may not have won a lot of Oscars, but it took home the most important one when it was named Best Picture for 2015. This film is based on a true story and it was lauded for its historical accuracy, as well as its fantastic cast including Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Liev Schreiber, Stanley Tucci, and John Slattery.
The narrative unfolds over several years as the Boston Globe’s Spotlight investigation team discovers that the Catholic Church’s Boston Archdiocese has been covering up sexual abuse claims against priests for decades. However, proving that story by gathering evidence is a long process that threatens to expose rifts in the Spotlight team. Some of the team members want the paper to publish their findings early and prevent further abuse, while the paper’s editors stress that the completion of the report is the priority, no matter how long it takes.

The Mule (2018)
As things currently stand, The Mule is the penultimate film in Clint Eastwood’s legendary career as an actor. Eastwood also directed this movie, and he cast himself as Earl Stone, a grandfather who chose his career over his family, In the present, Earl finds himself facing the loss of everything he has while attempting to reunite with his estranged daughter, Iris (Alison Eastwood), and her daughter, Ginny (Taissa Farmiga).
Earl’s lifeline comes from a drug cartel that recruits him to transport its product without attracting the attention of law enforcement. This gives Earl everything he needs to get out of debt and support his family. But before he realizes it, Earl is in too deep with the drug cartel, and there is no way the cartel will ever let him go, even as DEA agent Colin Bates (Bradley Cooper) starts closing in on them.

Starship Troopers (1997)
Starship Troopers is neither a comedy nor a farce, but this sci-fi action flick is a very darkly funny satire thanks to RoboCop and Showgirls director Paul Verhoeven. Neill Blomkamp recently signed a deal to direct a new version of this movie without Verhoeven’s satirical edge, but it’s hard to imagine that take on the material hitting as hard as this one.
Two centuries from now, classmates Johnny Rico (Casper Van Dien), Dizzy Flores (Dina Meyer), Carmen Ibanez (Denise Richards), and Carl Jenkins (Neil Patrick Harris) go straight from graduation to service in Earth’s interstellar military. Humans think they’re on top of the food chain in the galaxy until a race of giant alien bugs sets off a massive war against the Earth. Despite what the film’s propaganda is selling, humanity’s chances of surviving this conflict are rapidly evaporating. Can humankind find a way to win the war against these deadly intergalactic creatures?
