You already know how important it is to protect our stunning environment in Abu Dhabi and now you have the opportunity to demonstrate your passion for the planet and inspire others to join in the challenge in The Art of Recycling community initiative that will be launched in the coming weeks.
The Yalla – Abu Dhabi Life and Abu Dhabi Mall ‘The Art of Recycling’ community initiative, which includes a competiton element, wants you to create works of art from recyclable materials such as single use plastic and more.
Your stunning artworks will need to infuse creativity, innovation and sustainable practices to produce a single piece of art which can be 2D or 3D sculptures, an installation, architectural piece, A1 or A2 Canvas or an accessory such as a head piece, belt, purse, etc upcycled from your wardrobe or using recyclable materials.
The competition opens for entries on 1 May with entries being submitted until the end of June.
The great news is that the competition is open to all ages across Abu Dhabi and that can only mean one thing – the competition is going to be fierce, so you will need to channel your inner artistic genius if you want to walk away with any of the prizes.
But before the final results are announced, chosen works of art will be showcased in the main atrium of Abu Dhabi Mall for the members of the public to peruse and critique.
And not only that, throughout The Art of Recycling community-led inititaive, Yalla – Abu Dhabi Life is also delighted to be working in partnership with the brilliant experts at SchoolsCompared.com, famous for its UAE Top Schools Awards, and the leading education portal helping parents choose the best schools for their children.
