A new AI technology has been activated to catch motorists who do not give priority to pedestrians at zebra crossings.
The announcement on the new radars was made by the Abu Dhabi Police who posted a new video showcasing how the new monitoring system will be implemented.
Drivers must come to a complete stop if there are pedestrians waiting at a zebra crossing and must only move when the pedestrians have safely reached the other side.
Those who violate the laws will face fines up to AED 500 and six traffic points.
The police also urged drivers to give way to pedestrians and to follow all traffic laws.
