Bougie baby on board! When Rihanna announced she was expecting her first child with boyfriend ASAP Rocky, her pregnancy reveal outfit had quite the hefty price tag. And now, as she and her rapper beau prepare for baby No. 2, the singer is clearly maintaining her couture streak.
The “Diamonds” artist shocked the world in January 2022 when she unveiled her growing baby bump in a pink silk Chanel puffer coat from the 1996 collection that was designed by Karl Lagerfeld. While the item is obviously no longer in production, it is sold on a handful of resale websites for approximately $10,000.
Rihanna didn’t mess around when it came to her jewelry either. She donned a Christian LACROIX brooch around her neck, which costs approximately $5,500. She also sported a pave diamond ring from Briony Raymond. The company told Us that the sparkler has a price tag of approximately $18,500.
The biggest ticket item on her body, however, was a stunning gold Rolex King Midas watch. The piece was a custom design once upon a time, but vintage purveyors at Analog Shift have well preserved 1976 version of the same design. You’ll just have to be willing to shell out $21,450 to get your hands on it.
From that moment on, Rihanna dressed her pregnant belly in The Attico, Dior, Prada and beyond — and the fashion statements didn’t stop when her baby boy was born in May 2022.
Flash-forward to February 2023 when Rihanna confirmed her second pregnancy during her Super Bowl LVII halftime show performance. She belted out her greatest hits in a ravishing red utility jumpsuit by Loewe and a matching breastplate. She teamed the look with an Alaïa coat that was inspired by the late Andre Leon Talley’s signature red Norma Kamali coat.
The following month, she took the stage at the 95th annual Academy Awards to sing her song “Lift Me Up” in a sparkling outfit by Maison Margiela. The ensemble featured a strapless bustier top that featured cascading crystals and a pair of wide-leg pants. She accessorized with jewelry by DeBeers.
Prior to her performance, she hit the Oscars red carpet in a chocolate-colored dress by Alaïa, which featured leather paneling and a sleek cascading skirt.
