The Valley’s Nia and Danny Have ‘Questions’ About Scheana Not Filming

Nia Sanchez and Danny Booko still aren’t sure why Scheana Shay stayed away from season 3 of The Valley.

“I feel like we still have questions, and I know she addressed it in her podcast for the most part,” Nia exclusively told Us Weekly while attending BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas on Saturday, November 15.

“We love Scheana. And we thought when we started filming that she would be with us as well,” Nia continued. “We still have questions like, ‘What happened, girl? We missed you.’”

During an October episode of her “Scheananigans” podcast, Scheana confirmed she was offered a spot on season 3 of the Bravo reality show but ultimately declined.

BravoCon 2025 isn’t disappointing when it comes to major TV announcements. As thousands of fans descend on Las Vegas in hopes of seeing their favorite reality stars, the cable network is taking the opportunity to announce some major shows coming soon. In between panels, star-studded Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen tapings and so […]

“For anyone hoping that I would be joining the cast, I am sorry to disappoint you this season,” she said. “For those who were very vocal about not wanting me to join the show, don’t worry. I’m sure I will find some other ways to disappoint you, so stay tuned.”

While Danny thought he would see his friend “in a few weeks” during filming, it never happened.

When asked if the decision had anything to do with Scheana’s feud with season 3 cast member Lala Kent, neither Nia nor Danny could confirm the fan theory.

“I don’t know,” Nia explained. “At the end of the day, she’s a veteran in this world. I feel like she would still join us even if there was a little drama with Lala.”

On Friday, November 14, The Valley cast came together for the “Peaks and The Valley” panel presented by Carnival Cruise Line. Moderator Danny Pellegrino announced that both Lala and Tom Schwartz would be official cast members heading into season 3.

In a separate interview with Us, Jasmine Goode and Zack Wickman expressed their surprise that Scheana would not be part of the new season’s cast.

“This is literally the hot topic,” Jasmine joked on Friday while walking the BravoCon red carpet in Sin City. “We were shocked too because we thought she was doing it. And we still don’t really know exactly what’s going on.”

Zack added, “I think she just decided, you know, it wasn’t this moment, it wasn’t for her, maybe next season, maybe whatever. I guess we’ll just have to see.”

Just because Scheana isn’t filming doesn’t mean her friendships with the cast have ended.

Jasmine — who kicked off BravoCon weekend with celebrity hairstylist Tevin Washington at an exclusive dinner at Chef José Andrés’ Zaytinya restaurant — said her former costar will still be at her wedding when she says “I do” to Melissa Marie.

As for Janet Caperna, she believes fans haven’t seen the last of the woman who made “Good as Gold” a hit.

“I think she just made the choice. It wasn’t the right time, the right thing for her,” she told Us on Friday. “And you know, she is one of my best friends. I’ll still see her around. … Scheana’s busy. She’s gonna stay busy. She never has a calm, like, chill moment. She’s always working and doing the most, so I think we’re going to see her again soon.”

The Valley is currently streaming on Peacock. A premiere date for season 3 has yet to be announced.
