Inside Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel’s Gilmore Girls Emmys 2025 Reunion
Gilmore Girls stars Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel had fans screaming, “Oy, with the poodles already” in excitement after they reunited at the 2025 Emmy Awards.
The actresses, who played mother and daughter on The WB series from 2000 to 2007, hit the red carpet together on Sunday, September 14, in Los Angeles.
The Gilmore girls — a.k.a. Graham, 58, and Bledel, 43 — both dazzled as the cameras snapped away. Graham wore an Akris poppy evening gown featuring black florals on a nude overlay. Bledel, meanwhile, opted for a strapless silver gown that showed off her curves.
The pair’s red carpet reunion came hours before they are set to take the stage to present an award as part of tonight’s festivities — and fingers crossed, transport viewers back to Stars Hollow (even if it’s only in their dreams).
Graham and Bledel portrayed Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, respectively, on The Gilmore Girls, which premiered nearly 20 years ago on The WB. (The series debuted on October 5, 2000.)
Throughout the series, viewers followed along as single mom Lorelai — who got pregnant at 16 — raised Ivy League-bound daughter Rory in a small town with several quirky residents there to help her along the way.
Nearly a decade after the show ended in May 2007, Graham and Bledel reunited on screen for a four-part miniseries. Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life premiered on Netflix in November 2016 and left fans with one big question: Who is the father of Rory’s baby?
During the final moments of the miniseries, Rory told Lorelai that she was pregnant, but the baby’s paternity was not revealed.
Matt Czuchry, whose character, Logan Huntzberger, is a contender, exclusively told Us Weekly in January 2021 that creator Amy Sherman-Palladino “told me who the father of the baby was.” However, he teased, “It doesn’t feel like the right place to say who it may or may not be.”
Czuchry, 48, added, “Also, if we do come back, they may change their minds. So it could become somebody else. Those are the reasons why I’ve never said what they told me on set.”
Milo Ventimiglia, who played Rory’s ex-boyfriend Jess Mariano, exclusively told Us in March 2021 that Sherman-Palladino, 59, “never told me” who fathered Rory’s child.
“You know what, though, I didn’t ask. And I feel like I’ve got, I still have a really, really, really, really close relationship with Amy and [her husband and executive producer] Dan [Palladino],” he revealed. “And I feel like if I asked, they would tell me.”
While both Graham and Bledel claim they are also in the dark about the story line, they have continued to gush about their connection over the years.
Most recently, Graham revealed during an April episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast that she and Bledel “really got along” from the moment they met.
Graham recalled each actress bringing “different energies” to their roles. “She is a shyer, quieter person, which has been perfect. If you had two loud mess, you’d not have a good balance,” she joked.
