VPR’s Jo Wenberg Claims She ‘Said No’ to Being on The Valley

The Valley will feature appearances from several Vanderpump Rules stars — but not everyone.

Jo Wenberg, who was featured on season 11 of Vanderpump Rules, was asked about the spinoff during an Instagram Live on Thursday, December 12.

“Watch The Valley. I said no to The Valley,” Jo, 35, claimed. “And I know Lala [Kent], Scheana [Shay] and [Tom] Schwartz are going to be going to The Valley.”

Jo didn’t clarify whether she got a formal invitation to appear on The Valley or just had no interest in making any cameos. Us Weekly confirmed last month that Lala, 34, Scheana, 39, and Schwartz, 42, are expected to appear on season 2 as Vanderpump Rules undergoes a cast overhaul.

Vanderpump Rules has been a consistent presence after getting its start as a spinoff of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and evolving into its own popular franchise. In the aftermath of Tom Sandoval‘s affair with Rachel Leviss, the show picked up cameras immediately to document season 11. The episodes, however, were met with mixed reactions and ultimately the show was put on pause amid cast tension.

Bravo confirmed in November that season 12 begins production next year with Lisa Vanderpump and a new group of cast members. As every former cast member issued a public goodbye, Katie Maloney surprised fans by revealing she wasn’t planning to come back.

“I didn’t plan on returning,” Katie, 38, revealed on a December episode of her “Disrespectfully” podcast. “I had made a decision months ago after this past season. I needed to move on with my life.”

Katie recalled making the choice before VPR was “put on pause,” adding, “I had talked to our producers about it and I told them my decision on that. I felt personally ready to move on from the show. I felt like my life and where I was at was moving in a different direction. Mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, I was prepared to move on from the show.”

According to Katie, the complicated dynamic between the cast played a role in her decision.

“The group and the dynamic and what makes the show, that show, would be hard to do because it was so fractured at the end there,” she noted. “And many of us don’t hang out. There might be some people that talk to this person or these people hang out or these two hang out. But as far as it being like a cohesive unit, it just doesn’t exist anymore.”

While Jo might not be back in the Bravo universe any time soon, she has already tried to shoot her shot elsewhere on reality TV. Jo, who had a high-profile fling with Schwartz in 2023, recently took to social media to pitch herself for The Bachelor.

“Sign me up to find a man!” she wrote via Instagram in August. In addition to tagging the account for The Bachelorette, Jo added in the caption to the video, “Make me the next Bachelorette.”
