Swifties Are Still Obsessing Over the Cleaning Cart After Eras Finale
Taylor Swift has officially wrapped her “beloved” Eras Tour, and she’s still perplexing fans with the cleaning cart.
Swift, 34, infamously arrived at every stadium’s diamond-shaped stage via a nondescript cleaning cart. In a photo round-up from her last three Eras concerts in Vancouver, Swift offered a glimpse at her mode of transport.
Swift, dressed in her blue-and-gold Lover bodysuit, sat on the cushioned seat while smiling for the camera. The cart was decked out in an array of cat memorabilia, including feline figurines, posters and a computer-printed “Animal of the Day” award. For the last December shows, the honor was shared between Swift’s pets, Meredith, Olivia and Benjamin.
“Congrats on the Eras Tour,” the poster read. “Time to snuggle the cats.”
While most of the taped-up decor matched the same versions seen in a portrait included in Swift’s Eras Tour companion coffee table book, there was one item that raised eyebrows.
Beneath a framed lucky cat illustration, hung a portrait of a waterfront city. Swifties on social media deduced that it was Cardiff Bay in Wales, which is the same picture that was featured in The Eras Tour Book.
After recognizing the Welsh landscape with the Pierhead Building and the Senedd, fans speculated that it might be traded out depending on whichever city Swift and her team performed in. (Swift kicked off her blockbuster concert tour in March 2023, eventually traversing the United States, Europe, Australia, Asia and more. She performed in Cardiff for one night in June.)
However, it is unknown why the Cardiff image appeared in the cart ahead of the Canadian concert.
Swift closed out her nearly two-year tour on December 8 after three sold-out performances at Vancouver’s BC Place.
“It was rare. I was there. I remember it. ♥️,” Swift wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, December 11, quoting her Red (Taylor’s Version) song “All Too Well.”
Swift — who turns 35 on Friday, December 13 — acknowledged the tour milestones throughout the shows.
“I’ve never played more shows on tour or toured longer than I have with the Eras Tour,” Swift told concertgoers on December 6. “There are so many reasons for that, like, nobody’s backstage saying, ‘You gotta do more shows.’ I decided to make this tour the longest I’ve ever done because you have made this feel like so much more than a concert tour in so many ways.”
She added, “I’ve been going on tour since I was 15 years old, and this has felt different in every single way. It’s felt like this escape to a planet where nothing but joy and passion and togetherness and camaraderie exists every night coming out to these crowds.”
Swift further closed out the touring era with a melodic mash-up of “Long Live,” “New Year’s Day” and “The Manuscript” on Sunday.
